The City is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of several capital works projects within the Infrastructure Capital Works team. The role's portfolio will provide an interesting and challenging mix of infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Managing the delivery of projects from design to handover in accordance with the City's Project Management FrameworkEnsuring projects are delivered within budget and on scheduleCollaborating with a range of stakeholders during design and deliveryContract management of consultants and contractorsAbout you As a collaborative member of the projects team, the position is accountable for delivery of the allocated portfolio of project works in accordance with the City's policies and procedures. The successful appointee must be adaptable and experienced in project management and have a multi-disciplinary skill set to work across a range of projects. They must also thrive working in a very busy and change driven organisation. As such, applicants must be able to demonstrate through their CV and covering letter that they meet the following capabilities:
University degree in relevant discipline such as Architecture, Civil Engineering or Project Management or equivalent experience.Relevant experience in a similar role, including experience in project management of infrastructure projects and contract management.Advanced experience in the efficient utilisation of information systems and technology.National Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).C Class Drivers Licence.Advanced computing, numeracy and literacy skills.Advanced organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.Advanced customer service skills, communication and problem-solving skills.Advanced research and analysis skills.Advanced negotiation and influencing skills.Knowledge of resource planning and budget management.Knowledge of project management principles and practices.Knowledge of construction practices and methodology.Knowledge of the practical application of occupational health and safety measures in the workplace, including operations where interaction with members of the public may be reasonably expected to occur.About the City of Wanneroo The City of Wanneroo is a diverse and flexible environment that offers a range of career opportunities where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the local community and our people.
