Project Manager - Capital Works (Client Side)

Property Network of Australia is seeking a Project Manager – Capital Works to to take on a 6 month contract, working for a respected and growing Not for Profit organisation based in Brisbane on a 6 month contract basis.

As a Project Manager working within the Project Management Office (PMO), you will be integral to the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of a range of small to medium capital works projects, relating to property upgrades, a corporate office reloaction project, as well as asset refurbishment CAPEX projects across a community based portfolio.

The successful candidate will support the strategic vision of the PMO, focusing on timely project completion, adherence to budget constraints, and upholding quality benchmarks. The role will not be suited to more construction based project management candidates.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Oversee a range of small-mediu sized capital delivery projects across a community based asset portfolio.
• Contribute to comprehensive project plans, defining scope, scheduling, and resources.
• Assist in procurement, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
• Oversee construction processes, conducting site visits and resolving issues promptly.
• Implement quality control measures for compliance with industry standards.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, delivering progress reports and leading meetings.
• Manage risk proactively with mitigation strategies to support project execution.
• Provide post-commissioning support, ensuring project functionality aligns with requirements.
• Maintain thorough project documentation for regulatory and organisational compliance.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous experience in project management, especially in refurbishment and redevelopment.
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
• Knowledge of AOD residential rehabilitation regulations and WHS standards (desired).
• A professional, positive demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Relevant Project Management certification and proven experience.
