Introduction: The Opportunity
Our Property Services team is looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Newcastle West on a permanent, full-time basis.
In this role, you will oversee projects from the scoping and design phases all the way to completion, employing a whole-of-life asset management approach.
You'll support the management of a diverse portfolio valued at $1.7 billion, which includes both small, concurrent projects and larger programs of work derived from our asset management system.
Your contributions will be essential in ensuring the successful delivery and sustainability of our assets.
In this role, you will oversee the delivery of various programs, including roof replacements, interior finish upgrades, bathroom refurbishments, structural remediations, and other asset categories.
Your primary goal will be to ensure the effective and proactive management of assets across our Diocese, providing practical solutions for ongoing maintenance.
Additionally, you will take a proactive approach to ensure that all spaces are fit for purpose and optimized to support the functions required by the Diocese.
Your efforts will contribute significantly to enhancing our community's environment.
As part of the broader Property team, you will collaborate with a facilities team of 11, 6 internal project managers, and a construction manager overseeing an annual capital budget of over $150 million.

Description: Position Description
The Project Manager - Assets will be responsible for the coordination of major and minor projects under the supervision of the Manager of Strategic Assets working across various Diocesan sites including schools, early education centers and commercial properties.
Skills and Experiences: Experience/Criteria
Experience in Facilities Management, Construction Management, and or Project Management.Demonstrated experience in report preparation and ability to administer contracts.Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of head contracts.Effectively administer minor/major projects or maintenance-based related duties/tasks to ensure a timely and efficient completion of the head contract and subcontracts.Experience in using electronic records management system(s).Qualifications
