We are currently looking for a Project Manager (Agile) to lead Agile-driven continuous improvement initiatives across multiple applications and services within The Law Society.

About the role As a member of the IT team, the Project Manager (Agile) will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to identify, prioritise, and implement process improvements that drive efficiency, enhance customer experience, and deliver measurable value.
You will manage a small team of Business Analysts to ensure alignment with strategic goals and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.

You will support the Head of Project delivery to improve the business operations and help innovation in the development of tools to support new and current business services.
You will gain general understanding of the business, assisting in the gathering and documenting of scope and requirements, research solution options, analyse issues, assess (test) development, and communicate deployment of solutions.

You will have strong documentation and client facing skills as you work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
You will have experience in requirements gathering, research and analysis, solution discovery, training, mentoring and other general Project Management capabilities.

The Project Manager will collaborate closely with all members of the IT team and will be responsible for the training of direct reports, liaising with developers (3rd party / internal), and acting as a general liaison between the business and IT.

What you'll be doing Develop and define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Create detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Identify areas for process optimisation and efficiency improvements in applications, services, and workflows.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define improvement goals and success metrics.
Monitor and report on the impact of implemented changes, driving further refinements as needed.
Directly manage a team of Business Analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development.
Lead and manage continuous improvement projects across various applications and services.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring clear milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, adhering to project methodologies.
Ensure Business Analysts deliver high-quality requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and documentation.
Foster a collaborative and positive team culture to enhance productivity.
Communicate project goals, progress, and expectations to stakeholders.
Manage stakeholder relationships and address concerns or issues proactively.
Act as a liaison between technical teams, business units, and external vendors as required.
Communicate progress, challenges, and results to stakeholders and leadership.
Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables.
Conduct regular reviews and quality assessments.
Monitor project timelines and milestones, adjusting plans as needed.
Ensure timely completion of tasks and overall project delivery.
Address and resolve issues or conflicts within the project team.
Troubleshoot challenges to keep the project on track.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports and status updates.
Capture lessons learned for future improvement and run retrospectives with the project and development teams.
Adapt to changes in project scope, schedule, or objectives.
Proactively identify and address potential roadblocks.
Ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.
Obtain feedback and incorporate it into future projects.
Ensure that the project adheres to IT / project standards and organisational policies.
Mitigate risks related to compliance issues.
Provide regular updates and reports to management or relevant stakeholders.
Summarise project progress, challenges, and key metrics.
Support a collaborative and progressive team environment.
Standardise and highlight improvements to services.
Providing and maintain troubleshooting support and knowledge sharing across IT.
About you Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, project management or a related discipline.
Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, Agile or other relevant project management certifications 7+ years project management experience or Previous experience in project management, demonstrating successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
In depth knowledge of Software Development Methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Exceptional organisational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Strong data analysis, discovery, process mapping and problem-solving skills.
Strong track record of delivering Agile-driven projects and fostering continuous improvement.
Experience managing and mentoring teams, particularly Business Analysts.
