As our new Consultant, within the Program Performance team in Aurecon, you will be working in the Project Management Office (PMO), specifically the Governance and Assurance team of a long-term contract within the Water sector.
In this role you'll work with a team of highly skilled specialists managing complex/strategic projects or large-scale programs to provide efficient customer-focussed capital investment outcomes.
Within this role you will drive outcomes to inform innovative solutions by ensuring that projects comply with internal and external standards, acts and regulations.
Here are the key things you'll do:
Write, update and deliver technical documentation including specifications, scope documents, user guides, reference manuals, admin guides etc.
Adapt to new project requirements and meet tight deadlines.
Apply PMO scope controls and contribute to scope definition management from inception through to delivery and practical completion.
Work closely with our client to understand and contribute to the successful delivery of the program by managing key relationships and communicating across a diverse stakeholder group.
Contribute to the development of PMO project schedules to manage work programmes and oversee the implementation of these schedules.
Provide support in the collation of data and information required to drive effective decision-making.
Proactively and consistently report on status, progress and completion of projects.
Identify opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What are we looking for from you?
You'll have a genuine passion for working on the delivery of major infrastructure and the ability to re-imagine problems and continuous learning to help shape the future.
Alongside your industry experience in similar management consulting, engineering consulting, or equivalent roles, you'll also have:
Demonstrated experience writing, communicating and engaging with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Background and transferable experience with infrastructure projects, water infrastructure projects are ideal but not necessary.
Able to appreciate project management principles and tools.
Qualifications or equivalent work experience in disciplines such as engineering, project management, construction management, business, environment or similar.
Excellent interpersonal skills, organisation, record keeping and general reporting.
