About the opportunity: As the Project Lead – Workforce Planning, you'll play a critical role in delivering the Client's 2025 Workforce Plan.
Working closely with the Senior Manager of Research and Workforce Planning, you will design, deliver, and review comprehensive industry intelligence using data-driven methodologies.
Your efforts will translate complex data into actionable insights, guiding the sector's skills and training strategies.
This full-time 9 month contract role offers virtual/work-from-home flexibility, with occasional travel across Australia to engage with interstate teams, stakeholders and industry partners.
Key responsibilities include: Lead and refine the Workforce Planning report, integrating stakeholder insights Conduct thorough data analysis and marry findings with actionable strategies Facilitate workshops and gather evidence to inform workforce planning decisions Collaborate with stakeholders to address workforce gaps and skill requirements Deliver a comprehensive Workforce Plan to the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) by May 2025 Selection Criteria: This role will see you utilising comprehensive research & data analysis to enable informed decisions that align with the organisations key strategies, as well as contributing to the future prosperity of skills and training in the energy industry.
You will be a strategic thinker and quickly develop an understanding of the energy sector landscape.
Key criteria required to be successful in this role include: Proven experience translating complex data into clear narratives for diverse audiences Qualifications or extensive experience in Data Analytics, Economics, Research, Workforce Planning, or related disciplines Expertise in research and data analysis for actionable workforce planning insights Proficiency with data visualisation tools and research methodologies Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data quality Excellent communication skills with experience presenting findings at conferences and forums Understanding of energy industry trends and their workforce implications Ability to collaborate across teams and lead tasks strategically Passion for shaping Australia's energy workforce for the future This is an inclusive recruitment process, we welcome applications from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from multicultural backgrounds and people with disability.
