Perth-Based with Adhoc Travel 5/2 Roster 12 month contract About the Client: Rio Tinto Operates the world's largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets. These assets include a world-class, integrated network of 15 iron ore mines, four port facilities, a 1,700-kilometre rail network and related infrastructure. Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety, and environmental performance. About the Role: WorkPac is currently in search of an Electrical Project Lead to join our esteemed client's team, based in Perth. This position is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week for 12 months with potential to extend. Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with support teams to ensure safe project execution. Manage Sustaining Capital projects at Greater Tom Price. Oversee projects through all stages from order of magnitude to closeout. Ensure project elements (cost, quality, schedule, safety) align with Rio Tinto standards. Manage quality, MDR development, contractor relations, and cost control. Review and prepare engineering specifications, scopes, and schedules. Manage construction activities, including procurement and commissioning. Coordinate with project support functions and manage consultants and contractors. Secure agreement from key stakeholders on project commitments. Engage stakeholders in design reviews and provide progress updates. Maintain accurate cost estimates and capture lessons learned. Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar construction-related field OR Trade Certificate with Project Management Training. Electrical background (mandatory). Project management experience preferred. Proficient in core project delivery areas: safety, cost, schedule, quality management. Technical knowledge of electrical projects. Commercial expertise in contract development, management, and dispute resolution. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Manual license preferred.
