We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to manage the establishment and implementation of a new North Queensland Suicide Prevention Response Service (NQ SPR).
This service is a critical part of the North Queensland Primary Health Network's (NQ PHN) mental health stepped care model, designed to provide additional support to consumers at elevated risk of suicide.
As the Project Lead, you will collaborate with the NQSPR Clinical Team, Hospital and Health Services (HHS), and other stepped care service providers to co-design and establish an effective delivery model.
You'll be responsible for the project management of this co-design and implementation, ensuring the service meets the diverse needs of communities across Townsville, Mackay, and Cairns.

What You'll Do: Lead the development and establishment of the NQ SPR service, co-designing with NQ providers and HHSs.
Collaborate with the clinical team to develop necessary policies, procedures, and an operating model.
Manage project planning using robust project management approaches to ensure successful service implementation and smooth handover to the clinical team.
Build and enhance partnerships with stakeholders across the region to develop referral pathways and service integration.
Develop and update project documentation, including tracking progress, risk assessments, and consumer monitoring tools.
Support the set-up of operational aspects, including IT and telehealth components, and upskill the workforce in suicide prevention strategies.
About You: You are a highly organised and experienced project manager with a passion for mental health?
Do you have a proven track record of managing complex projects and working with diverse stakeholders?
We're looking for someone who: Holds tertiary qualifications in health, behavioural/social sciences, community services, or a related discipline.
Has significant experience in project management within a complex system, particularly in mental health or related fields.
Demonstrates strong stakeholder engagement skills at both local and state levels.
Possesses excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
Is proficient in project design and implementation, including data collection, risk assessment, and analysis.
