Mining - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy) Simcoa Operations Pty Ltd, located near the port city of Bunbury approximately 200km south of Perth, Western Australia, operates Australia's only Silicon Metal Smelter, incorporating high temperature charcoal plant, submerged electric arc furnaces, grinding plant, crushing and screening facilities and off-gas filtration/fume collection bag-houses and timber processing. With a continuous power demand of 70MW, we are one of Western Australia's largest electrical consumers. As the Project Lead, you will be accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific capital projects ensuring that these are delivered to agreed criteria, with commercially competitive standards for safety, cost, timeliness, quality, and scope and customer satisfaction consistent with company strategy, commitments and goals.This position will manage and deliver larger scale, complex, high value / high visibility and reputational impact / multi stream projects with a project duration of one or more years that provide cost effective solutions. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:Broad and extensive Project Management knowledge with a minimum of 15 years demonstrated experience (leading project team for full life cycle). Knowledge and experience with itinerant plant regulation and standards. Experience with delivering capital projects.Experience with project delivery in the mining industry.Bachelor of EngineeringProject Management Training and experience Core project delivery skills (cost, schedule, quality) – developing cost estimates, managing budgets, and developing and managing schedules.Technical experience in multi-disciplinary projects (i.e. structural, mechanical, electrical, controls) for mining, plant, and processing projects.Commercial experience developing and managing contracts, assessing claims and dispute resolution.Coordinate information required between Simcoa and ContractorDevelop information from Simcoa and transfer to contractor.Check, review and revise all technical information such as specification, calculation and drawing from contractor.Collect information and inform to Simcoa management.Check and control schedule.Transfer management thought to Contractor.Keep good communication at field with Contractor.Reporting to the Managing Director with a competitive package, commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate will be offered.
