Curtin University is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Lead, Digital Experience to manage a complex project that will revolutionise our application experience for prospective students.
Under guidance of the Deputy Director, Digital Experience you'll collaborate with project stream leads to drive the digital deliverables for Phase 2 of the Advancing Admissions Project.
In Phase 1, this project introduced a new applicant portal and system integrations to simplify Curtin's application process.
Your focus will be on further enhancing the application process, ensuring a seamless, user-centric experience from application to admission.
As part of this role, you'll lead a cross-functional project team whilst collaborating closely with a diverse range of stakeholders across the university to optimise each digital touchpoint for prospective students to maximise application and offer conversion.

You must be collaborative, highly organised, and adept at engaging diverse stakeholders to achieve high-impact outcomes.
With a keen understanding of UX best practices and a strong focus on user-centric design, you will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and solutions-driven.
Exceptional communication skills, the ability to balance multiple priorities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
To ensure alignment with Curtin's digital experience strategy and earlier stages of the journey, you'll be required to co-locate between both the project team and the Digital Marketing team.
The Digital Marketing team, who are led by the Deputy Director, Digital Experience, are responsible for crafting leading digital experiences that delight and empower future students on their journey towards personal growth and meaningful impact.

Key duties and responsibilities include: Align project objectives and user-needs: Develop a strong understanding of the outcomes from Phase 1 of the Advancing Admissions project, working closely with project stream leads to analyse the business case and user stories.
Use these insights to shape the digital experience for Phase 2, ensuring it aligns with the project objectives and user needs.
Develop and execute digital experience strategies: Focus on enhancing customer journeys and optimising user experiences across all digital touchpoints in the application process whilst aligning with project goals.
Lead and coach the digital experience project stream: Apply agile methodologies and human centred design thinking, to refine backlogs and sprint planning, ensuring adherence to Definition of Ready and Done criteria.
Implement UX best practices: Ensure project outputs comply with Curtin's Digital Experience and Style Guidelines, relevant legislation, policies, and brand guidelines.
Optimise digital platforms: Focus on platform optimisation to improve user engagement and ultimately increased applications.
Coordinate work packages and manage resources: Adapt plans to deliver outcomes on time and within budget, communicate release schedules, and raise risks/issues to stakeholders.
Facilitate transition to operations: Ensure adequate support capacity following each production deployment for smooth operational processes.
We are looking for someone with: Completed relevant qualifications, along with extensive work experience either in the design experience field or in project management within complex organisations Proven experience in creating and executing digital strategies that enhance customer engagement and achieve business objectives.
Experience in applying human centred design thinking methodologies, creating prototypes, and optimising user experiences across desktop and mobile platforms.
Demonstrated commitment to promoting, managing, and implementing significant organisational changes effectively.
High-level planning, management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, engage, influence, and build relationships across diverse groups.
Experience with legacy business systems, content management systems, marketing automation platforms, and digital tools for seamless customer experiences.
Familiarity with Marketo is advantageous.
Work Requirements: Must have current work rights in Australia matching the tenure of the role.
Based in Perth, WA or have confirmed plans to relocate.
Relocation and sponsorship support are not available.
