Join our Build, Run & Repair team as we manage the construction and delivery of our $500 million-dollar greenfield site development. This critical role will provide financial governance and expert advice, across the program of work. You will highlight dependencies, process improvements, mitigate risk and strengthen project cost control.
Recycling is an important weapon against climate change and the technology employed in our new Yatala glass plant will help enable Australia to go from an average of 30% recycled glass content in bottles to 70%, moving towards world's-best practice.
About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for the financial control and governance of Visy's high profile Major Greenfield Capital project. You will be involved with the day-to-day operations of the construction project, supporting the project team, and ensuring robust controls and processes are being followed including compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also provide leadership and direction whilst supporting project status updates to the Executive Steering Committee.
The role is a 2 years fixed term based in Yatala. Responsibilities include:
Manage monthly project forecasts and cashflows Prepare monthly journals Process actual performance reports against budgets and forecasts Produce executive financial status report updates Production of regular variance reporting for Project Managers Enhance existing tools and templates to improve processes, as necessary Work with Project Managers to establish reconciliation systems to validate invoices Monitor PO's / Goods Received / Supplier and Contractor invoices Investigate and resolve project accounting issues and variances Oversight of all administration processes and procedures Ad hoc reporting for Group & Senior Management team Assist project team around financial issues What you will bring:
Tertiary qualification in Accounting and Finance required Senior in relevant infrastructure/construction or manufacturing project development Proficient in SAP software applications particularly in purchasing and project systems Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends Extensive experience using Excel & other finance systems Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, across all departments Ability to work with strict deadlines High attention to detail and strong time management skills You will be required to meet Visy's employment criteria which will include a criminal history check.
