Our Client is a Newcastle based owned and operated organisation who design, supply, install, commission and maintain water and slurry pump systems for major infrastructure projects within mining, construction and related areas.
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and preparing accurate quotations by analyzing requests for quotes and tenders, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding associated specifications. Candidates with a Trade Background looking to transition into Estimating are highly encouraged to apply. You will bring a strong understanding of either mechanical or electrical scope of works, plus further education and Qualifications in Estimating to support.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Identifying and building cost estimates by analysing materials and labour
Determining profitability of projects
Providing viable solutions to increase project profitability
Complete and submit competitive project bids
Maintain and update cost databases and paperwork

Essential Criteria:

Current experience in Estimating or Trade Background and Qualifications to support
A confident understanding in managing the bid and no bid process
The ability to interpret drawings
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organisational skills
Effective communication skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Detail-oriented
