CPB Contractors has more than 50 major infrastructure projects in delivery, across all key sectors of the construction industry, including roads and bridges, rail, tunnelling, defence, airports, buildings and resources, providing you with career opportunities for years to come.The ProjectThe Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including:The proposed capital investment of $1.7b will incorporate a variety of elements including:Construction of new messing and living in accommodationConstruction of new training facilitiesRefurbishment and upgrading of existing buildingsRemedial works and upgrades to infrastructure servicesYour opportunityWe are looking for experienced Project Engineers to join the project team. You will manage and provide direction to the team to deliver the project in accordance with the specified requirements and client expectations. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Contribute to a culture of 'Safety underpins everything we do'.Manage the effective set-up, delivery and completion of the project including establishing relevant systemsManage and monitor the completion of the project to ensure program, budget, quality, environmental and contractual obligations are achieved and take prompt corrective action where requiredReview design and construction plans, schedules, temporary works designs, method statements and job safety analysis and qualityMonitor project progress against the program and budgetPrepare accurate project reports and provide reporting on project risks and opportunitiesEffectively assigning tasks to project team members to deliver the required outputs to agreed specificationsEnsure the project is adequately resourced to deliver project requirements within the program and contractual agreementsMonitor KPIs and productivity analysis against program and budgetTo be successful in this role you must have:Relevant tertiary qualificationsExperience as a Project Engineer on a large-scale projectDemonstrated commercial experience to include planning up to 3 months ahead, weekly reporting on progress against plan and cost, reporting on risk and developing and implementing risk treatment plansStrong attitude and awareness of SafetyHigh level verbal and written communication skillsExcellent planning and organising skills; and negotiation and influencing skillsA problem solver and strategic thinkerCompletion of a relevant Institute of Applied Technology - Construction course is highly regardedThese roles are based in either the Albury Wodonga area or Riverina/Wagga Wagga.
