About the Team Our Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains.
With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.
The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.
About the Opportunity To contribute effectively and efficiently towards meeting the project's safety and quality objectives and reporting to the Project Manager on current performance & the status of effective project risks.
Provide technical expertise towards development of scope of works for delivery by contractors and Internal Resources and work with key stakeholders to successfully deliver the rerailing program across the ARTC interstate network.
The role combines office-based work at Mile End, South Australia, and site-based delivery activities for the rerailing projects which will require infrequent & planned travel interstate for onsite works across the Sydney to Narromine & Albury (SNA) Corridor and the Telarah to Acacia Ridge (TAR) Corridor.
What do we want from you?
Essential Selection Criteria: Tertiary qualifications in engineering, or an appropriate discipline or relevant industry experience.
Ideally have Experience in engineering maintenance, construction and/ or design of track, civil and/or structures.
Open to early career level engineers with on the job and formal training provided to develop into the role.
Demonstrable ability to work in an organized, well-ordered manner.
Highly developed written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Highly developed problem resolution and interpersonal skills.
