Cloudstreet Consulting is hiring a Project Director/Lead to join our dynamic team as a contractor for our government client, NT Government (NTG), on a transformational project focused on modernizing education management across the Northern Territory.

Project Overview: The Education Management Transformation Program (EMTP) aims to implement advanced education management technologies, enabling seamless data capture, sharing, analysis, and reporting. The first stage of the EMTP will focus on a holistic, consolidated solution for student enrolment and attendance, providing NTG with a complete view of each student's location, achievements, performance, and wellbeing. By integrating data from multiple sources, this solution will drive a more student-centered approach to education.

This role involves managing competing priorities, multiple stakeholders, and tight deadlines. The successful candidate will demonstrate self-discipline, resilience, and a proactive approach to achieving goals.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, oversight, and delivery of this complex, high-value transformation project.
Manage the project lifecycle, from solution requirements and procurement to configuration, delivery, and implementation.
Oversee and coordinate a cross-functional project team across multiple streams, ensuring alignment with agreed business outcomes.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts, ensuring solutions are human-centered and meet stakeholder needs.
Inspire and guide teams to achieve exceptional results, delivering impactful change through strategic direction and effective communication.

RequirementsEssential Skills and Experience Demonstrated experience in successfully managing and implementing a multi-year, multi-million-dollar IT transformational project in a complex enterprise environment.
Demonstrated experience in the procurement of digital solutions to meet organisational requirements.
Significant experience in project management with emphasis on strong project governance, planning and control, risk and issue management.
Demonstrated ability to champion human-centered design principles throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that solutions are user-friendly, intuitive, and aligned with stakeholder needs.
Strong leadership and change management skills with experience in end to end delivery of significant business system and complex business change and transformation projects.
Strengths in business requirements gathering, analysis, problem solving and coordination.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills for team management and strong stakeholder engagement with ability to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels.
Demonstrated experience in building, managing and leading high performance teams to deliver high quality, customer focused outcomes.
High level written and verbal communication.
High resilience and self-discipline.
Knowledge and utilisation of Prince2 project management methodology is preferred.
Formal qualifications in Project Management, IT or similar.
Desirable Qualities required of Candidate(s) Prior experience working in and/or knowledge of the Education sector.
Personal Qualities required of Candidate(s) High level social and written skills with ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work in a large team environment with members of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Self-starter with high personal drive and a positive attitude.
Behaves in a respectful and professional manner, maintaining high integrity and transparency when delivering work.
Excellent problem solver and critical thinker.
Promotes teamwork and collaboration by engaging stakeholders and team members.
