As a Project Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in engaging with First Nations communities, conducting in-depth feasibility assessments and driving project development plans including securing, managing and coordinating internal and external consultants and contractors, and lead relationships with stakeholders.
We seek a purpose-driven professional, with the capacity to execute project plans for several rapidly growing projects, including integrated solar, wind and battery storage projects in the Pilbara region of WA.
What you'll be doing Working with First Nations communities, you will lead the project development process, undertake early-stage project feasibility assessments, conduct capacity building workshops, and support informed decision making to assist communities to identify a suitable project location and structure.Assisting groups navigate the project planning & development, and to progress various land and commercial agreements.Progressing planning & environment approvals and participating in stakeholder & community engagement.Assisting with connection enquiries, applications and the process of obtaining grid connection approvals.Ensuring all project development planning is compliant with relevant laws, regulations and policies.Providing expert advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on project matters.Identifying and mitigating contractual risks to protect the company's interests and ensure all actions are aligned to safety, heritage, the community and environment.What we're looking for Ideally, you will have experience in a similar project development manager role.Demonstrated ability to originate, develop and manage projects with minimal supervision through to shovel ready status, ready for financing.Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, industry standards.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate safety, heritage and environmental risk within the development phase.Demonstrated Pilbara experience and renewable energy exposure would be highly desirable.Ability to travel regularly.What we offer Competitive salary and performance-based bonus structure.A supportive and collaborative team environment with a focus on respect, integrity, safety and trust.Work with a team that is innovative and passionate about renewable energy, the environment, First Nations economic empowerment and heritage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
