As a Project Developer
in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Customers Team , you will be responsible for driving the development of key opportunities and owning the project development process of medium to high capital value behind-the-meter and off-grid power generation projects for large business customers.
The work you will be doing will directly contribute to Australia's largest C&I businesses reaching their decarbonisation goals.

What you'll be doing:
Defining the required scope of works and budget for technical feasibility studies for projects along with the engineering and delivery teams and identifying appropriate contractors and technology providers in collaboration with the wider team.
Managing internal technical and commercial stakeholders to bring a project from concept, through the development process in preparation delivery and providing technical and commercial input into the identification and acquisitions (if required) of appropriate land for projects.
Supporting the engagement with targeted organisations, contributing to the development of tender responses from time to time, as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships to identify potential renewable energy and hybrid power systems projects.
Working with Legal and Commercial stakeholders as required to refine contract terms and conditions on a project-by-project basis and engaging with a diverse group of internal stakeholders to ensure all projects are progressed through a formal project governance process in accordance with business rules.
Ensuring that all Health, Safety, and Environment Systems and goals are introduced and adhered to while meeting the organisation's policies and standards for HSE Management.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor level tertiary qualification preferred, preferably in business and/or technical related fields such as Business, Finance, Commerce and Engineering coupled with experience in the development of renewable energy projects from concept to investment commitment.
Technical understanding of renewable energy and thermal power systems including wind, solar, storage and generator technologies.
Ability to deal with a dynamic and fast-paced environment that demands adaptability and quick problem solving, while managing multiple projects including regulatory and risk processes.
Understanding of energy markets and value drivers for large-scale generation projects with a focus on renewable energy.
Strong writing skills, financial analysis and business acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and commercial negotiation skills.
