Project Cost ControllerWork. Are you an analytical thinker with a head for numbers?
Join Sunwater as Project Cost Controller, where you'll play a vital role in contributing to the commercial sustainability of the Paradise Dam Improvement project through the provision of advice, expertise and operational delivery of day-to-day costing/financial, procurement and project administration services.
You will play a key role in the production of budgets and forecasts across the full life cycle of the project into planned monthly cash flows, ensuring reporting deadlines are met and full compliance with financial and project controls procedures.
Lead the project cost attribution with regards to month-end financial close processes, timely invoice processing and raising, accruals and cost transfers, monitoring and reviewing aged accruals, monthly financial performance monitoring/reporting, undertaking variance analysis (actual vs. planned) and advising project and business leads on financial risks and appropriate resolution.Maintain, develop and implement systems to track and report on actual and forecast costs to manage the cost exposure across each project cost code and the overall project.Directly support and measure cost variances from the project baseline and take appropriate action with the project management team.We are seeking a talented individual with a proven track record in project cost control across major capital programs or projects.
You will hold tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce, engineering or significant experience in a similar field.
You will also bring:
Systems expertise: Proficiency in the use of project-based systems such as PRISM/Contruent and or SAP.Analytical skills: High level analytical and conceptual skills including the ability to analyse data, identify anomalies and implement appropriate solutions.Communication skills: Excellent communication skills with a knack for writing and presenting quality reports and findings to senior leadership, including the Board and executive leadership team.This role offers an array of attractive benefits including:
