Project Coordinator - Western Desert Region

Details of the offer

Level: 7.1
Salary: $113,867 per annum/pro rata
Hours/Employment Status: Permanent Full Time
The Central Australian Youth Link-Up Service (CAYLUS) is a division of Tangentyere Council. CAYLUS started as a petrol sniffing prevention project in November 2002, in response to widespread issues in the region at that time. While CAYLUS still remains focused on preventing sniffing, we also work to reduce the impact of other substance misuse by reducing their supply, harm, and demand across Central Australia.
This newly created, senior position will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of remote initiatives in the Western Desert region including Case Work, NDIS, Women's Programs, and other relevant opportunities that arise to support young people in remote communities.
The Project Coordinator will oversee the management, training, and mentoring of specific CAYLUS Youth Workers, and lead the response to volatile substance use in this region, in close collaboration with CAYLUS Managers and other stakeholders.
This is a remote, community-based role which will involve regular travel across the region and into Alice Springs for up to 10 days at a time.
Closing date: 06/11/2024
A suitable candidate may be appointed prior to the closing date.
Please see for How to Apply and application requirements.
