Our team collaborates with our People, partners and stakeholders to ensure that cultural heritage is preserved and protected, native-title rights are upheld, and community-led initiatives are fostered to achieve positive outcomes for Ngarlawangga People.We are seeking a passionate and experienced Project Coordinator to help lead and deliver these critical projects through the well-organised coordination of project administration and logistics. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in First Nations communities and work alongside Ngarlawangga Elders and traditional owners and support their attendance at project activities to ensure the corporation's operational and governance needs are met.Key duties and responsibilities include:Project coordination:

lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of country and cultural heritage projects including but not limited to:Healthy Country PlanCultural mapping projectsSpecial projects such as Back to CountryDevelopment of management plans for key land reservesCommunity engagement and stakeholder liaison:

work closely with the Ngarlawangga community including Elders, traditional owners, and Board of Directors to understand their needs, aspirations and perspectives to ensure projects are community driven. Build strong relationships with all stakeholders including government agencies, partners and proponents to ensure the best outcomes for projects.Cultural protocols:

ensure that all project activities align with cultural protocols, respecting the traditions, values and knowledge of the Ngarlawangga People.Budget management:

Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring resources are used efficiently.Reporting and documentation:

Prepare progress reports, funding submissions, and documentation of project and cultural activities ensuring compliance with legal and funding requirements.Risk management:

Identify and mitigate project risks while respecting the cultural significance of land and heritage.Event and engagement coordination and attendance:

Organise engagements including workshops, meetings and community consultations related to country and cultural heritage projects including planning and logistical arrangements.Meeting attendance:

Attend Board, Heritage, Local Implementation and Life of Mine Planning Committee meetings and provide advice for these committees within your area of responsibility.Executive support:

Assist the Executive Officer in preparing for Board and Committee Meetings, consultations and presentations including compiling reports and documentation.Other duties:

Any other duties as directed by the line manager or executive team.Selection CriteriaQualifications:

Tertiary qualifications in project management, Indigenous studies, social sciences, or a related field is desirable.Experience:

Demonstrated experience coordinating projects, particularly in First Nations communities, native title or cultural heritage.Cultural knowledge and relationship building:

Strong understanding of Indigenous culture, native title and related legislation, and cultural protocols. Demonstrated ability to form positive working relationships with Indigenous community groups.Communication skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication including the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in a culturally sensitive way.Meeting participation:

Experience with attending and contributing to meetings with the ability to represent projects and provide support to executive leadership.Teamwork:

ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.Organisational skills:

strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Commitment:
