The Role This position will be responsible for coordinating projects within the company and plays an essential part in successful project delivery. The Project Coordinator liaises between Astron and its clients to ensure that services are constantly provided to the highest quality.
Reporting to the NCER Manager, your required tasks will include:
Assist coordination of multiple projects and undertake related supporting activities such as scheduling and logistical requirements. Work with Project Leaders and/or Senior Project Coordinators to ensure all project related deliverables and processes are implemented. Undertake review of maps and reports, and provide support to desktop investigations and reporting. Assist team members with the pre-mobilisation preparation for field programs including assistance with compliance to health and safety systems to ensure successful field execution and de-mobilisation. Work with management and clients to identify and manage project risks and issues. This role is part-time at 18-24 hours (4/5 days) a week. The successful candidate will play a key role within our NCER team.
Skills and Experience The following criteria are essential to be considered for this role: A degree in Environmental Science or alternative Earth Science. Strong interpersonal skills (experience in customer service will be looked upon favourably). Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills, combined with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and with excellent time management skills. Strong scientific and business writing skills. Good team working skills. A strong focus on health and safety. The following criteria are desirable: Prior demonstrated experience in project coordination or administration. Field experience in undertaking environmental projects or similar scopes.
