With more than 59,000 structures completed throughout our 130-year history, CB&I has the global expertise and strategically located operations to provide our customers world-class storage solutions for even the most complex energy infrastructure projects.The team is expanding and looking for someone who has started their journey in project controls, scheduling, or cost control and seeking an opportunity to further develop and grow.The Project Controls Specialist will be responsible for the development and preparation of Project Controls deliverables on the assigned project with initial coaching and support leading up to being autonomous in the role.The role directly reports to the Manager of Project Controls and Project Manager assigned and routinely interacts with Operations professionals within the organization.Your ResponsibilitiesResponsible for project Cost Forecasting, Scheduling / Planning, Progress Measurement & Reporting, Change Management & Risk Management facilitation.Develop the WBS and CBS for control and requirements as defined by the contract and execution plan.Develop integrated EPC cost and schedule program including reporting.Develop and maintain progress measurement system applicable to the project.Analyze cost and schedule data including the PSR and recommend solutions or recovery plans to impacts or delays.Monitor status of risks & opportunities as well as cost and progress trends.Regularly interface with Management and Clients.Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and adherence to internal controls and procedures.About YouSome level of practical experience in the use and understanding of company's job cost management and/or scheduling systems and associated practices and policies.Construction experience and planning acumen.Proactively identify and solve complex problems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Advanced MS Excel and Database skills.Mental agility and ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlines.High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated business partnering skills with the ability to influence the organization.Adaptability and agility to learn and contribute in varying and complex environments.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.Proactively embrace and promote the company's values and culture, including diversity & inclusion and a healthy and safe work environment.Experience and QualificationsCollege or University Diploma, Typically in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.Min 3 years of relevant experience in areas of cost control, scheduling, and project controls management functions ideally with specific experience in one of the below areas and some level of exposure in the other:Working with Primavera (P6) and/or other scheduling/planning software; and/orCost Control, Forecasting, and Management processes and tools.Understanding of Change Management processes including understanding commercial and contract processes.Understanding of project and enterprise risk management practices in the project controls function including contingency management.CB&I Australia is an equal opportunity employer, and we believe diversity, equity, and inclusion deepens our depth of knowledge, capability, and experience.
