Band 5 - Salary range $104,284 - $147,238 per annum (plus super) As the Project Controls Specialist for Major Transmission Projects at TasNetworks, you'll be a key player in the end to end management of major, high-impact projects that enhance Tasmania's energy infrastructure.
The role is responsible for creating and implementing rigorous controls for managing the core functions of each project—costing, scheduling, estimating, risk management, and reporting—to ensure that our major projects meet their goals on time and within budget.
The Project Controls Specialist role works closely in collaboration with workstream leads and senior management, providing specialist guidance to ensure seamless integration with the PMO and wider project team.
Supporting the integration of sustainability principles, the role will implement advanced project control methodologies and best practices, identifying and mitigating risks specific to large transmission projects, whilst tracking progress schedules and monitoring budgets along the way.

You are an accomplished project controls professional with a proven track record in influencing and managing complex, large-scale projects.
You bring a proactive, detail-oriented approach to project control and are skilled in implementing best practices to support effective, compliant project execution.
We are seeking interest from candidates with the following attributes:
A tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, or a related field.Significant experience in project controls, preferably within large-scale transmission or infrastructure projects.Expertise in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and proficiency in cost estimation and financial forecasting tools.Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset for risk identification and mitigation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams.What's on offerThis is a full time permanent opportunity, offering an attractive remuneration and benefits package.
