The Role We are seeking a talented and highly motivated candidate with Project Controls Management experience.
Reporting to the Head of PMO Squadron Energy, the (Position Title) is responsible for ensuring best practice Project Scheduling/Planning, Cost Management, and Risk Management are applied to all SQE Delivery and Development Projects. This role will engage and collaborate with Project teams and stakeholders across the entire Squadron Portfolio in developing, implementing, and managing SQE's approach to Project Controls Management and associated systems and tools.
Key responsibilities: Design and implement the Project Controls Framework, tools, systems and reports ensuring alignment to the strategic objectives of SQE. Management and oversight of the SQE Project Controls function and its associated processes, procedures, systems, templates and tools. Monitor and ensure conformance to SQE Project Controls policies, processes and procedures across the Development and Delivery Portfolios. Oversee the Community of Practice for the Project Scheduling/Planning, Cost Management and Risk Management functions across the SQE Development and Delivery Portfolios. Manage and lead team of Project Controls staff within the PMO. Develop and manage progress measurement, earned value management and reporting standards for the SQE Portfolio of Projects. Provide input into contractor tender assessments. Other tasks as required. About you You will have:
Minimum of 7 years' experience working in a similar role within Project teams or a Project Management Office. Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent amount of experience. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification is desirable. Current driver's licence. Significant experience managing the scheduling, cost, and risk management functions on large Construction Projects. Experience in variation claim and extension of time management. Experience managing schedule and cost risk assessments using a Monte Carlo simulation system. Experience administering Project Controls Systems. Working knowledge of internal commercial management processes. Demonstrated understanding of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning methodologies. Excellent team management and leadership skills. Highly developed interpersonal skills, including liaison and negotiation skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
