Licella is seeking an experienced Project Controller, demonstrating an evident passion for the renewables sector, to join the team on an environmentally significant new project. Position is to commence on or around 13 January, 2025. About Licella: We are a global leader in advanced recycling technology, our proprietary Cat-HTR™ platform is being built commercially across the circular plastics and renewables sectors with partners including Canfor, Dow and Shell.
Cat-HTR™ is a breakthrough technology, using hot pressurised water (a process known as hydrothermal liquefaction) to convert a wide range of feedstocks, including biomass residues and end of life plastics, into synthetic oil that enables the production of high-value, low carbon products, such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). It's pioneering Australian technology for a lower carbon future. 
About the role: Licella is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join the team. You will ideally have a Bachelor of Engineering or qualifications in a related field. You will be a self-motivated person, keen to continue your technical learning and have a strong interest in the circular economy. 
This is a hands-on role which will involve you dedicating much of your time to coordinating and managing activities on the project site. You will be based in Brisbane (Meanjin) the homelands of the Turrbal and Yuggera peoples. You will be required to travel occasionally to the project site, on the country of the Taribelang Bunda, Gooreng Gooreng, Gurang, and Bailai Peoples .
You will be primarily responsible for providing advice regarding schedules, impact of changes, modifications or alternates; keeping abreast of engineering, procurement and construction activities also providing monitoring and controlling the communication and information of associated costs.
The role is also responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective project control function, including development of the associated management plans, systems, tools and processes required to oversee the project.
You will also hold responsibility to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, policies and standards, and instigating or advising remedial action in instances of non-compliance
About you: You will have a Bachelor of Engineering or qualifications in a related discipline, and show that you demonstrate the following requirements: 
Proven capability to oversee multiple projects with conflicting demands, using effective multi-tasking, evaluation of priorities and managing delegations and schedules.Exceptional analytical abilities and a solution-oriented approach.Established track record in project controls, particularly within large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy initiativesDemonstrated experience in use of project planning, database environments and reporting tools Demonstrated ability to apply sound methodology to manage own work schedule Demonstrated ability to produce high quality technical reports Proficient in scheduling tools (such as Primavera P6, MSP) and cost control systems.
