In the role of Project Control Officer, you will contribute to the commercial viability of RoadTek through the provision of advice, expertise and operational delivery of day to day costing/financial administration services and information whilst ensuring the service provided is timely, effective and responsive to management requirements.
In this dynamic role, some of your responsibilities will include:
Contribute to team leadership by supporting the Finance Advisor in a range of business activities such as financial advice, training, and process improvement. Check and provide advice on the entry of employee timesheets to enable correct payroll payments in accordance with relevant Industrial Awards and departmental policies. Deliver training and coaching to 15 project costing team members to ensure compliance and consistency with financial policy and procedures. Undertake financial transaction reporting, reconciliation and costing using various departmental software to monitor the financial position of projects. Conduct and assist with financial auditing to ensure project governance is maintained. To thrive in this role, you will have prior experience in a similar role and be comfortable exercising judgement in undertaking day-to-day tasks in a complex environment. You will need well developed interpersonal and communication skills to assist the team in ensuring they have the knowledge and training they need to successfully perform their role. While not mandatory, a Diploma in Accounting would be highly desirable.
