PURPOSE Tyson Foods is seeking an experienced Project Capital Planning Engineer to join our team in Coominya, Queensland.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing project plans, Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to specifications.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a global food company with a specific emphasis on major projects in progress and upcoming future projects.
LOCATION: Coominya, Queensland - Australia - On site - located 35 Minutes west of Ipswich in the Somerset Region.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Management: Responsible for project scope, design and justification: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining the scope, objectives, justifications, timelines, and resource requirements.
Work closely with stakeholders to define project deliverables and success criteria.
Produce detailed CAD drawings (when required) for projects and update existing CAD database after review.
Responsible for quote compilation and documentation: Research suppliers and seek "best price" quotes from suppliers.
Confirm all stakeholder needs are met.
Prepare and submit all Capital / Capex related paperwork into Tyson applications.
Follow projects through the approval process, including creation of orders in SAP system.
Cost Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, tracking costs throughout the project lifecycle. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising project quality.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the project management framework.
Implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Drive change by engaging teams on project changes and deliver focused training to support operations.
Analyse reliability data to determine the best capital spending returns and highlight defect elimination. Projects to improve overall reliability.
Communication : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing progress updates, addressing concerns, and soliciting feedback to ensure alignment with project goals.
