As a Project Assurance Consultant, you will be at the forefront of all client interactions and provide on the job training to junior members of the division. This role involves consulting to clients undergoing significant projects and programs of work with the aim of delivering assurance services for these initiatives. This is ideally suited for a candidate with experience from a program, project or PMO background.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducting various control assurance and risk management consulting engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit, including assisting with planning, execution and scheduling staff;Assist in the planning of client deliverables (i.e. strategic internal audit plan, scope documents);Responsible for the execution of fieldwork and documentation of findings (i.e. maintain the audit file);Support clients to establish, refine and embed a comprehensive PMO, program or project assurance frameworkDevelop clear actionable guidelines and standards for project assurance practices and activitiesPrepare and present clear and accessible reports on project assurance activitiesProactively identify potential risks and inefficiencies and provide advice on potential risk treatmentsEducate divisional teams on the importance of program and / or project assuranceIdentification of gaps and issues, and assisting in the drafting of client reports;Assist in business development activities of the firm;Coordination with other divisions;Address technical issues and assist in preparing technical position papers;Undertaking development of team members; andAssisting with management and co-ordination of the internal audit team including training, mentoring and methodology compliance.

Relevant tertiary degree and/or qualification

Relevant certification or professional membership

DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:

Essential

2/3 years professional practice experience;Experience in a project, program or PMO environmentKnowledge in project management and industry best practicesBasic understanding of different project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK, AGILE)Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;Strong attention to detail;Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;Ability to utilise resources to optimise engagement outcomes through self-management;Add value by providing first class service in response to client demands;Assist in the management of a client portfolio such that all client needs are dealt with on a timely basis;Knowledge and application of practice development skills; andDemonstrate problem solving and decision making skills.
