As a Project Advance Work Packaging Champion - AWP Champion, you will be responsible for driving development, implementation and tracking the deployment of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) for projects. This includes ensuring alignment between Project Controls, Engineering, Supply Chain and Construction teams, and further educating the project team with the support and guidance of an AWP Subject Matter Expert. The Project AWP Champion will report jointly to the Project Manager on the project and the Regional AWP Manager.

What you'll do The role responsibilities include:
Learning, understanding and then implementing corporate AWP procedures and practices.Developing and implementing AWP project plan, participating in all schedule development sessions.Ensuring all Construction Work Packaging data is effectively managed and maintained in a central location using globally deployed AWP technologies.Facilitating the development of the Construction Work Areas (CWA), Path of Construction (PoC) and Construction Work Packages (CWP).Assisting in the development of Engineering Work Packages (EWP) and ensuring the procurement work process tracks material and related material appropriately to corresponding CWPs.Assisting project controls in developing the AWP compliant Level 3 schedule.Working with Supply Chain personnel to ensure that AWP requirements are effectively and clearly written into contracts with Vendors and Subcontractors.Working with Construction Subcontractors to ensure compliance with AWP requirements.Tracking and reporting on alignment between engineering and procurement activities and the Path of Construction.Facilitating visualization of material status tracking for each CWP in conjunction with Materials Management.Providing expertise and mentorship to project team members to implement AWP.Developing and implementing project training requirements and plans.Reviewing reports and identifying performance improvement opportunities, auditing performance and providing feedback.Providing reports to the Home Office AWP Manager, Project Management, and Construction Management Teams.Coordinating with the project team and Project Information Manager (PIM) to ensure AWP is part of the project data.What you'll have Qualifications, Accreditation, Graduate in Engineering or similar.Relevant years of experience in EPC-EPCM projects in Oil and Gas or Chemicals or Mining.Proficient in MS Office suite of tools.Field (site) and home office project experience.Understanding of the engineering and procurement process and deliverables.A holistic understanding and knowledge around the project processes during each project phase.Understanding of digital systems and capabilities.Understanding of 3D Model Hierarchy and required attributes and scope demarcation.Ability to engage closely with the Engineering and Construction Management teams to break the work into appropriate packages and identify suitable paths of construction.HSE Capability: knowledge of safe methods of execution of construction activities.Used AWP and/or WorkFace Planning and Planning tools.Setup a database to consolidate information (digital acumen).Implementation of an execution contract (Site or fab).Support into a Schedule and Estimate, including WBS structure.Leadership skills, team planner, adaptable, open towards learning and development, person of integrity.Why you should apply Enjoy a varied & challenging role.Career development opportunities beyond this role.Moving forward together We want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
