About the role: The Firearm Prohibition Order Registry (FPOR) is responsible for the management and coordination of all Firearm Prohibition Orders (FPO) in Victoria. A Firearm Prohibition Order (FPO) is a discretionary order that can be made by the Chief Commissioner of Police (or their delegate) prohibiting a person from acquiring, possessing, carrying or using any firearm or firearm related item. The Firearm Prohibition Order Registry is also responsible for the training of delegates and investigators state-wide.
The Firearm Prohibition Order Registry is seeking an energetic and dynamic person to fill the position of Project Administrator. The FPOR is a small team based within the Crime Command, Victoria Police. The FPOR reports directly to the Detective Inspector of Tasking and Coordination, Crime Command.

Legislated delegates from Inspector to Assistant Commissioner level. Independent Broad-Based Anti-Corruption Commission. Your duties will include: Coordinating all Victoria Police Firearm Prohibition Order (FPO) applications. Allocating FPO's to Victoria Police Delegates for determination. Providing a secretariat service for the transmission of all FPOs across Victoria Police. Providing high level reports weekly, monthly and quarterly to the Assistant Commissioner, Crime Command and the Deputy Commissioner, Public Safety and Security. Maintain multiple database/spreadsheets relating to FPO searches, seizures and charges. Coordinating organisational training packages related to FPOs. Manage documents as per legislation and policy in relation to the requirement of the work unit. As the successful applicant, you will have: Demonstrated experience in performing a range of administrative support duties including the preparation of reports and correspondence and basic research activities.
