Primary objectiveProvide project and contract administration advice and services to Project/Program Managers, and Directors to support the delivery of minor new works, repairs and maintenance, and capital works projects.
Key duties and responsibilitiesProvide advice and support to Project/Program Managers and Directors to ensure that projects and contracts are compliant with business processes and accountabilities.Manage the provision of data recording, documentation, and record keeping related to assigned projects and contracts.Process and monitor the financial administration of projects and contracts to ensure cash flow and expenditure targets are met.Communicate professionally and effectively with project managers orally and in writing on project and contract administration matters.Build cooperative and collaborative relationships with other project administration staff and regional counterparts to ensure services are being delivered effectively and within prescribed timeframes.Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary practices and role modelling behaviour.Selection criteriaExperience in project and contract administration with sound knowledge of contemporary project and contract administration practices, principles, and innovations.Knowledge of the principles and practice of the NT Government procurement and contract management legislation and frameworks, works program cycles, and associated budget and financial processes.Experience in financial reconciliation and other financial processes and in the use of a range of financial and project management systems and office-based software.Sound experience in providing high standards of customer service.Sound oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills to communicate clearly across cultural and professional boundaries and to prepare reports and business documentation.An ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.Sound knowledge of business management and business drivers in a political and economic environment.Experience in a construction or built assets organisation.Further informationApplicants should familiarise themselves with the NTPS Capability Framework (CF) which applies to all NTPS employees.
