As our Project Accountant, you'll be essential to our success, leveraging your accounting expertise and project management skills to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.In this role, you'll oversee the financial aspects of projects, collaborating with various stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.Reporting directly to the Head of Group Decision Support, you'll have ample opportunities for growth and development.

What you will be involved in: Collaborate with project managers to review and develop project budgets based on contractual documentsSupport mobilisation activities with a focus on governance and reportingMonitor project revenue and expenditures against budgets and profitabilityProvide regular financial forecasts for ongoing projectsConduct financial analysis to ensure compliance with revenue accounting standards and legislationProvide financial insights and recommendations throughout the project lifecycleTrack all project revenue, costs, and expenses at both task and project levelsIdentify cost-saving opportunities and potential overrunsGenerate accurate and timely invoices based on project milestonesPrepare regular financial reports, summarizing key metrics, project progress, and potential risksEnsure compliance with revenue accounting standards, legislation, and organizational policiesMonitor and manage project cash flows to ensure liquidity and financial stabilityRecommend and implement process improvements related to Nova project financeIdentify financial risks associated with projects and develop mitigation strategiesPrepare regular financial reports for project stakeholders and managementSummarise key financial metrics, project progress, and potential risksCommunicate financial information clearly to non-financial team membersAnalyse financial data to identify trends and potential issuesWhat we would like from you: Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including revenue recognitionProficient in using project accounting software to effectively track and manage project financesStrong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial records and reportingExcellent organisational abilities to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlinesAbility to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, supporting project goals and financial alignmentSkilled in conducting financial analysis and generating clear, informative financial reportsAdept at identifying issues, analysing solutions, and making sound financial decisionsExperience with Oracle Fusion software is highly desirableLife at Nova - it all adds up!With people being our point of difference, we deliver on promises, reward good work, champion professional growth and support flexibility, all within a diverse and inclusive culture that recognises moments that matter.Life at Nova is our collection of employee benefits, designed to meet the many and varied needs of our people.
