Who we're looking for: As the Project Accountant, you will be supporting one of our major defence infrastructure project in Katherine (Northern Territory). You will work closely with the Project Manager and wider project team in the provision of management and cost accounting and be responsible for the integrity of the projects accounts.
The successful applicant will;
Ensure appropriate application of project cost coding structure for all costs incurredManage the accrual process and prepare journal for project accruals and adjustmentsEnsure timely submission and assist in preparation of progress claim and tax invoice to clientProvide detailed, accurate and relevant reporting and commentary by the specified deadlines on forecasts, budget and cash flow to the project team and corporate finance teamEnsure robust financial reporting across the Joint VentureManagement of Project Bank AccountProvide finance support to Joint venture management teamMeet all month end deadlinesReview current processes for management accounts preparation and provide recommendation for streamlining across the businessBe responsible for the accounting integrity of the joint venture accounts and general ledgerMust be open to a FIFO roster. The successful applicant will be a self-starter with: Tertiary qualification in an accounting related discipline5+ years post graduate experienceCPA/CA qualification is highly regardedPrevious experience in the construction industry highly regardedWe offer a rewarding long-term career, opportunities to develop, and a culture that values your contribution.
