About The Opportunity
The role is unique as it provides the opportunity to develop skills in relationship management with external organisations who are funded under complex contractual or grant arrangements with the SWSLHD. As well as the opportunity to further develop skills within procurement of tendered services, management of those contracts.
This includes at times working with the District procurement team in the development of a tender specification, assessment, awarding and implementation (procurement process) as well as overseeing the contractual management throughout the life of a contract and supporting the operational governance. The role also has the opportunity to develop or further enhance project management skills within the position.

The position supervises and works with the NGO Grants Program Manager and the project/programs support officer. The position sits within the broader team of the Strategy and Partnerships Directorate, and provides an opportunity to network with researchers, planners and project managers.
What you'll be doing This position is to provide strategic and operational leadership of the NGO/ AHO Programs and other Strategic Programs across the SWSLHD.
This position is responsible for the management of initiatives to facilitate delivery of the NGO/AHO Programs and other Strategic Programs across the SWSLHD working in close partnership with external service providers, LHD executive staff and through both local specialist and primary care providers across the LHD, in particular, the position is responsible for working with key stakeholders in delivering these Programs.
Where you'll be working
Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation.
The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.
Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.
Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the University of NSW and the Western Sydney University and also welcomes students from over 20 universities and colleges.
Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in business administration/management, project management, or related discipline(s) or equivalent experience. Knowledge of key initiatives and current best practice models of Palliative Care Services and NGO/AHO Services (within Australia, NSW and overseas). Experience in initiating and implementing organisational change through development and management of large, complex projects and /or new programs. Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills as well as organisational and co-ordination skills and ability to initiate, manage and successfully complete and report on projects and tasks within a given time frame. High level communication skills including interpersonal skills and report writing and high level computer literacy and data management skills. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and be well-organised with superior time management skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
