Program Coordinators develop, plan, and deliver public programming across City operated spaces such as Libraries, Community Centres, Pine Street Creative Arts Centre and the Makerspace.
About the team The Cultural Programs and Services team manages the City's cultural facilities and studio spaces and delivers vibrant public cultural programs that celebrate the City's diverse communities, encourage creative expression, and build social connections.

About the job This role plays a pivotal role in sharing community stories and creates opportunities for learning and conversation through cultural programs and activations.
It balances creative thinking with process and administration while also having a bit of fun!
Its all about understanding, respecting and delivering opportunities for our communities to explore their curiosities, learn from each other and express their creativity within welcoming and safe spaces.
What you will do: Get to know the community, what they need and how you can support them Collaborate with your team members and other teams to deliver against our organisations vision Deliver programming and cultural activations that are inclusive, accessible, and approachable Create a narrative about what we do and communicate it with broad audiences both internally and externally Develop fantastic relationships, use your networks and understand best practice Follow processes, be safe, manage engagements and prioritise administration About you You are amazing of course, but here is what we are looking for: You can bring ideas to life, always curious about people, their stories or skills and how to share them with others.
You are passionate about accessibility, diversity and making an impact in the community through providing opportunities for play and creativity A creative thinker who can understand a need and develop and deliver a program with clear outcomes that are measurable and achievable You enjoy making connections, find working in a team exciting but can also motivate yourself You are not afraid to ask questions, seek advice or take a calculated risk where you are able You enjoy working at pace, but can also drive in the slow lane when required A natural born organiser you get a kick out of following processes and keeping records You are an adept juggler (figuratively speaking, of course) and can manage multiple balls in the air You're not afraid to get your hands dirty and prioritise delivery if you need too, including being able to work in different locations, at different hours.
