Overview: Waves of Wellness (WOW) Foundation is a for-purpose mental health charity committed to changing lives through our innovative surf therapy programs for people experiencing mental ill-health. Facilitated by mental health clinicians who double as surfing instructors, these programs facilitate functional recovery, inclusion, social connection and enhanced quality of life. The program uses the ocean and surfing as a conduit to explore, stimulate and facilitate mental health literacy outcomes.

The Role: We are currently seeking an outstanding Programs Coordinator at our Sydney office to help us drive our national programs forward during our next chapter of growth at WOW. Reporting to the National Programs Manager, and working with a dedicated and passionate team, this pivotal role will manage and support the delivery of our surf therapy programs. The role involves planning, organising and supporting the community engagement of our programs, alongside supporting the collection of our impact data.

You will work closely with our facilitators across Australia, providing expert administration support. This role will be an integral support to operations and best practice delivery, whilst supporting a range of non-for-profit governance related areas including program scheduling, funding applications, reports, logistics planning, and risk management support.

Duties and Responsibilities: Program administration support on a national level Support program related tasks and team management Manage key program relationships with stakeholders (schools, mental health services, community groups, etc) Overseeing intake and referral process of program participants using CRM (Salesforce) Development and updating of WOW program resources Ensuring safety management plans are in place at each location Developing and managing participant engagement with upcoming programs Support with grant application writing Managing governance related to surf school accreditation Skills and Experience: An appropriate tertiary qualification in business, social sciences/human services, communications, or a related area. Exceptional writing and editing skills with a high attention to detail. CRM database skills Strong organisation, administration and project management skills Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating programs/projects High level interpersonal and communication skills Proven experience managing and planning own work to achieve within time constraint Demonstrated understanding and experience working collaboratively and effectively in a team Proven ability synthesising information to produce succinct and on-topic documents and reports. Desirable Criteria: Clinical mental health experience within psychology, occupational therapy, social work, mental health nursing, or other relevant fields Understanding and experience with mental health programming Proven experience in establishing and maintaining relevant partnerships Strong networking and stakeholder engagement skills with demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships to achieve organisational outcomes.
