Management (Community Services & Development) In this role, you will be supporting regionally based project teams to successfully implement community development projects. Responsible for engaging and developing regional and State level networks and relationships enabling WVA to maximise the impact of our work.
Oversee the transition of one of our early childhood projects and ensure strong collaboration with our First Nations partner organisation and other key internal and external stakeholders.
The role is also responsible for the successful implementation of the Western Australia Regional Area Plan and contributing to broader WVA fundraising activities.
This is a maximum term contract role ending in December 2025 based in Derby, Western Australia. Your responsibilities will include: Implementation of a strategic growth plan for programming in Western Australia Growing partnerships with First Nations organisations Supporting Project Managers to deliver activities as per the annual implementation plan and approved budgets for projects Contributing to scoping, design work, partnership development and capability building with First Nations organisations Management of incoming supporters, government and WVA corporate engagement requests such as field visits, policy engagement & participation in major donor events Support Project Managers to ensure all operational aspects of regional projects (Risk, Legal, Property, OH&S, P&C) are compliant with WV policies and issues arising are responded to in a timely and effective manner Budget and Contract Management Staff Care and Effectiveness – 1 on 1 meetings with direct reports Collaborate with the Manager, Private and Institutional Grants Acquisitions to identify sustainable funding opportunities for existing and new work Who we're looking for You will have excellent communication, influencing and people leadership skills and demonstrated experience working in the Australian Indigenous development sector and with remote Aboriginal communities.
You will have:
Stakeholder engagement and partnership development skills Excellent understanding of the cultural, political, economic and social issues affecting Aboriginal people in Western Australia Understanding of Western Australia Government Indigenous affairs policy and programming areas, specifically in relation to children and youth Established relationships within the sector in WA Background in providing team, project and strategy leadership within complex environments Experience brokering and maintaining successful funding agreements and collaborations with Government agencies and Aboriginal organisations Qualifications in social services, community development or related disciplines Working for World Vision means you are making the world better It's not every day that a job comes along that lets you change the world.
