This is a fixed Term Maternity relief Full-time opportunity until June 2025 This position can be based in Dubbo, Nyngan, Coonamble or Walgett, Brewarrina NSWwithin ourMacKillop Rural Program.Position purposeThe Program Manager sits within the MacKillop Rural unit which provides:· Family support and supported playgroups· Parenting and early childhood education· Counselling and support to young people who are vulnerable and at risk of homelessness· In-home accommodation and independent living supports to adults with a disability· Early childhood intervention to children with a disabilityPrimary objectives:The Program Manager is responsible for managing allocated programs/projects within budget in order to meet contractual obligations and organisational targets, including the expected outcomes of each program/project.This includes: Supporting clients/participants to have the knowledge and skills to live dignified, secure, just and hope-filled lives in resilient communities. Working towards the common goal to ensure that programs/projects contribute to the long-term sustainable outcomes and a social difference in the communities in which we operate.Key result areas and responsibilities:· Ensure a sound understanding of allocated programs/projects and their contractual obligations. This includes understanding the overall aims and outcomes expected by funders.· Work innovatively and collaboratively with clients, community and staff to ensure the programs/projects meet the needs of each stakeholder within the scope of any contractual obligations.Key selection criteria:The incumbent will have:·Qualifications in management, project management, community services, alied health OR relevant industry / leadership / community experience.·A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families·Good organisational skills and ability to manage projects.Our offer:This position is located in Dubbo, Nyngan, Coonamble or Walgett, Brewarrina (remote area which may be eligible for additional salary packaging benefits).
