Job Expectations Build your career and Australia's future.
Not many people can say they are working on building Australia's future. With us you'll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there's equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.
A bit about your role
You will support the IT Infrastructure Portfolio CAPEX roadmap by performing a Program Management role for the allocated program. You will lead the End User Technology program, but there is also the opportunity to manage other programs such as Cloud Hybrid Infrastructure, IT Network, or SEO Software Lifecycle as the Infrastructure roadmap evolves. As the End User Technology Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and managing the delivery of end-user technology solutions within the IT Infrastructure Department. This involves ensuring that all initiatives align with the organisation's strategic goals and enhance the overall user experience.
In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage project timelines and budgets to deliver high-quality technology solutions that meet the needs of end users. You will play a critical role in driving innovation, improving productivity, and ensuring the seamless integration of technology into the daily operations of the organization. Additionally, you will provide effective strategic and operational support for the delivery of programs or projects within agreed timelines and budgets, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and contributing to the organisation's key outcomes.
A bit about you
You will ideally have qualifications in either Commerce, Business, Engineering, IT, or a related discipline, along with a recognised certification as a Project Manager (e.g., Prince2, PMBOK). You will have several years of experience in program management, coordinating multiple programs/projects with complex cross-functional virtual teams within a technology-dependent enterprise. A deep understanding of project concepts, principles, products, and tools is essential, as is significant experience in managing complex business projects or business improvement projects for large service providers, utilities, and government customers, ideally in the telecommunications sector. Extensive experience in change management within complex environments and demonstrated knowledge and experience in product development lifecycle and processes are also required.
You will have previous experience working with project management tools and translating project plans into formats suitable for communication. A commercial outlook with extensive experience in end-to-end planning and management of large telecommunications business improvement and operational transformation programs is crucial. Strong people management skills, the ability to manage virtual teams, and the proven ability to establish enduring senior management business relationships are essential. You should also possess strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills, be skilled at managing priorities across scarce resources, and have well-developed analytical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and commercial acumen. Effective communication skills and the ability to contribute to and embed program/project management standards are also important for this role.
