About the Role:
As a Program Manager (Carbon Credits), you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing their carbon credit portfolio.
This position involves strategic oversight, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure our carbon management practices align with market developments and organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and Enhance Carbon Credit Strategies
Implement and refine the company's carbon management strategy, adapting to evolving market conditions and regulatory requirements.Manage the allocation and usage of carbon credits across various projects to ensure optimal resource coverage.Develop and execute strategies to mitigate risks and optimise the value of their carbon credit portfolio.Track the performance of carbon credit contracts and related investment initiatives.Ensure Regulatory Compliance and Stay Informed on Market Changes
Maintain compliance with all relevant Australian carbon credit regulations and standards.Monitor shifts in carbon markets and regulatory frameworks, keeping the management team informed with regular updates.Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for regulatory submissions.Support Cross-Functional Project Implementation
Collaborate with different departments to support the evaluation and execution of carbon-related projects and agreements.Provide Comprehensive Reporting and Market Analysis
Develop a robust internal reporting framework that meets both local and global standards.Generate detailed reports on carbon credit activities and overall sustainability performance.Conduct market analysis to forecast trends, including price fluctuations and supply-demand dynamics, to guide strategic decision-making.Lead Cross-Departmental Collaboration
Head the Carbon Management Steering Committee, driving collaborative efforts across departments to achieve carbon management objectives.Drive Process Improvements in Carbon Management
Identify opportunities to enhance carbon management processes for greater efficiency.Implement new technologies and best practices to streamline operations and improve outcomes.Skills & Experience:
