Programmed are currently looking for a Program Leader to join their team and work at a large recreational client, that hosts various activities for schools and groups. Daily Duties Assess environmental conditions Assess the risks in the area an activity will take place Set up and pack down of program delivery equipment Perform daily safety checks of program delivery equipment Coordinate and deliver a wide variety of programs to consumer outcomes Manage participants safety and wellbeing in a fun and inclusive environment Support participants through a variety of perceived and actual barriers or risks associated with participating in activities. (Mental, physical and environmental) Report hazards, incidents or near misses in the departments hazard register Report faulty or damaged equipment to senior staff Provide leadership and support to OO3 and contractors to achieve activity delivery outcomes Provide basic first aid as required Log daily activities in reporting administrative tools Weekly Duties Complete personal log books of activities delivered Complete personal time sheets Lead and/or perform weekly program maintenance tasks, reporting or repairs as required Provide group/site inductions to visiting group leaders and participants as required Delivery weekend and night activities as operationally required Other Duties Maintain activity specific proficiencies Perform interim maintenance Co-manage Coast Club (school holiday) activities, managing groups and activities onsite Provide operational support to the operations team as required (maintenance work related to facilities and gardens) Assist in the program delivery Verification of Competency (VOC) and Recognition of Competency (ROC) processes Purchase program activity equipment What we are looking for: Certificate 3 or higher / equivalent in Outdoor Recreation / Outdoor Leadership with the below electives is highly beneficialhigh ropes, abseiling, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, SUP, Archery, low ropes, surfing Previous experience in a similar role (tourism, recreation and hospitality industries) Positive Blue card - mandatory or willingness to obtain for starting Current first aid and CPR certificates or willingness to obtain for starting Current drivers licence Availability for all operational hours (Monday - Sunday) If you think you're suited to this role, please click on APPLY and upload an updated resume and a two page cover letter demonstrating why you're suitable.
