About the Role Randstad Digital is working with Queensland Health to recruit a Program Director to join on the Patient Administration System (PAS) Readiness Project.
You will oversee the successful delivery of Queensland Health Patient Administration System (PAS) Readiness Project, to modernise a large scale, complex Information Management (IM) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) capability through driving delivery within agreed performance criteria to enable enhanced health service delivery.
Responsibilities Oversee the successful delivery of a significant program comprising multiple large-scale, complex, and high-risk projects, often involving information management (IM) and/or information and communication technology (ICT) components.
Ensure that program outcomes are achieved and that solutions are responsive to customer needs and sustainable in an enterprise environment.
Ensure that the program of work includes all necessary activities to create deliverables that meet requirements, ensuring the program is both 'doing the right things' and 'doing things right.' Lead, manage, or direct an expert team of multi-disciplinary project directors, project managers, and other project staff.
Focus on managing staff performance, coaching project professionals, and fostering a culture that promotes sound IM/ICT management practices while maintaining a strong project management capability.
Ensure that Project Directors, Principal Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers undertake appropriate planning, budgeting, project management, reporting, consultation, and risk management.
This includes integrating component projects, avoiding duplication of effort, and proactively addressing any risks or conflicts with necessary remedial and corrective actions.
Skills and Experience Demonstrated high level leadership, conceptualisation and design of programs comprising multiple large scale, complex and high-risk projects.
Proven experience within complex programs such as Patient Administration Solutions (PAS) or electronic Medical Records (e MR) within a large, complex and distributed health care environment will be highly regarded.
Demonstrated program management skills and experience through all phases of the life cycle, with a proven record of achieving successful and effective program outcomes that are aligned with organisational objectives within a large, complex and distributed service delivery organisation.
Proven ability to lead, manage and nurture multiple multi-disciplinary project teams, and demonstrated experience in managing a major program budget in the development of successful enterprise solutions, that are responsive to customer needs and sustainable in a large, complex organisational environment, preferably in health care.
