Our purpose is to contribute to equitable health and life outcomes and the cultural well-being of Indigenous people. We do this by working towards reaching population parity of Indigenous medical students and doctors and supporting a culturally safe healthcare system
Essential skills Demonstrate a sound understanding of current and historical issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.Demonstrated awareness of the importance of cultural safety, preferably within the context of the health or education systems.Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing work priorities to deliver quality outcomes within short timeframes and with minimal supervision.High level of communication capabilities across a wide range of stakeholders, including: medical educators and non-GP specialist trainees; andcolleges, universities, and other organisations. Ability to use initiative and problem-solving to achieve results in accordance with practices and policies.Ability to work cooperatively and flexibly to fulfil individual and team performance goals.Knowledge and experience working with medical collegesPersonal Attributes Culturally aware, inclusive in approach and respectful of all others alwaysCalm and highly organised, who has a structured yet flexible working style and is adept at reprioritising workflows to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to actively nurture collaborative working relationships, and the initiative and drive to improve workplace processes.Exceptional standards of personal integrity and who ensures that sensitive matters are handled discreetly and diplomatically.Effective communicator, including written and verbal, and with both individuals and groups.Strategic thinker.Demonstrated ability to work with minimal guidance.Flexible and adaptive team player.Tasks & responsibilities Co-ordinate the successful delivery of AIDA's Programs including STSP by:Oversee daily operations of the program, including recruiting, planning, and tracking of program budget and evaluating activities for positive outcomes.Review the program during implementation to ensure activities and services achieve the stated objectives and outcomes.Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure quality program delivery and to support all stakeholders and staff as requiredOversee program logistics provision of program resources and materials, and provide clear direction to admin and other team membersLiaise with medical colleges and other key stakeholders in terms of program content and delivery.Support program governance activitiesProvide reporting and briefings, preparation of papers and presentationsDevelop and implement a program evaluation framework.Provide culturally appropriate support service to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Specialist trainees.Communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander PeoplesOther duties within your capabilities as directedFull remote working (all locations considered)Salary Packaging15% superannuation2 extra wellbeing days per yearAnnual professional development budget and ongoing training and development opportunities20 days annual leave in addition to complimentary leave during the Christmas/New Year shutdown period which is not taken out of leave entitlementsThe opportunity to join a forward-thinking not-for-profit with a desirable workplace culture where you will be a valued team member.To apply please use this link
