Program Coordinator (Border Surveillance)

The Program Coordinator (Border Surveillance) will be responsible for implementing recommendations from the Centre for Excellence for Biosecurity Risk Analysis (CEBRA) review of Tasmania's domestic border interventions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a process for the collection of information and data.Analyse information and data to support prioritisation, resource allocation activities, and decision-making to address biosecurity risks.Ensure effective and efficient biosecurity risk systems are developed and maintained.Effectively liaise and network with stakeholders.Our Ideal Candidate HasSignificant expertise in biosecurity systems and operations.Skills to lead complex activities and coordinate staff.High-level communication and interpersonal skills.Critical thinking and analytical skills.Initiative, flexibility, and creativity in developing options and recommendations.We OfferFixed-term two-year position located in Hobart, Launceston or Devonport (to be negotiated).Competitive salary, 11.5% superannuation contribution, and salary sacrificing options.20 days annual leave a year (plus paid shutdown between Christmas and New Year).Special staff benefits from nominated Health Funds and AVIS.Access to a syndicate of gyms and fitness centres across Tasmania.About UsThe Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (NRE Tas) is committed to our vision of "delivering a sustainable Tasmania" where our natural resources, cultural values and environment are recognised and used sustainably to support our future prosperity.
