Program Assurance Advisor

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Program Assurance Officer to provide independent assurance for a program of approved digital projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring the progress and delivery of these projects, ensuring they meet established timelines, budgets, outcomes, and benefits.This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in program assurance, project management, and governance.
As the Program Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for providing regular Delivery Confidence Assessments (DCAs) and working closely with key stakeholders to identify risks, report progress, and recommend improvements to ensure successful program delivery.Key Responsibilities: Independent Assurance: Provide regular independent assurance through DCAs, ensuring they are aligned with the relevant guidelines and tolerance levels for each rating category.Program Oversight: Attend governance meetings and Agile rituals (e.g., showcases, PI planning), and review live project documentation (e.g., DevOps) to observe the program's progress and health.Documentation Review: Review key program management documents, including status reports, Epic business cases, program roadmaps, benefits management trackers, assurance plans, risk reports, finance updates, change management plans, and governance frameworks.Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct meetings with stakeholders to assess the status of the program, share observations, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.Risk & Issue Management: Identify and flag potential risks and issues early, enabling timely remediation to keep the program on track.Program Assurance Controls: Develop and implement program assurance controls in collaboration with the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) to ensure successful program execution.Delivery Confidence Reporting: Provide regular DCAs and ratings, highlighting areas of concern and opportunities for program improvement.Key Requirements:Proven experience in program assurance and the digital project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and delivery.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and governance frameworks.Experience in reviewing program management documentation, including program status reports, risk reports, and financial updates.Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and contribute to program improvement through detailed observations and recommendations.Experience developing and implementing program assurance controls and providing independent assessments.Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-impact program and ensure the successful delivery of critical digital initiatives.
