Ensuring we provide value to our clients through all stages of mining is a mainstay of our business and we have the expertise and equipment to deliver total mining services to any surface Projects:Burton Mine: Located approximately 2 hours from Mackay and 50 minutes from NeboBlackwater Mine: Located approximately 1 hour from Emerald and 2.5 hours from RockhamptonGoonyella Riverside: Located approximately 30 minutes from Moranbah and 2.5 hours from MackaySaraji: Located approximately 20 minutes from Dysart and 2.5 hours from MackayMeandu: Located approximately 20 minutes from Kingaroy and 2.5 hours from the Sunshine Coast.BUMA Australia provides a range of services and equipment at our projects including heavy mobile plant, labour, supervision and technical support, drill/blast and statutory are now seeking several Proficiency Training Specialists to work across all of our sites, supporting our projects by executing structured training programs (Operator Proficiency Program and New to Industry Program).Key Responsibilities:Develop, maintain and execute tools and processes to benefit the BUMA Training ProgramsExecute and lead the BUMA Australia Proficiency Program across multiple sites under the direction of the Training Superintendent, including:Observation monitoring of Excavator OperationsBenchmarking all appointed Excavator Operators using the BUMA Benchmarking and Observation Tool SetProviding coaching and mentoring around Operator Proficiency Principles (Excavator and other) executionProvide Crew Trainer Assessor Development across all sites (coaching and mentoring)Support the BUMA Australia Simulator Package and Utilisation Program/sAssist in the BUMA Australia New to Industry (NTI) Training Program where directed across multiple sites under the direction of the Training SuperintendentConduct all training in accordance with the relevant Program Training Plan, legislative requirements, BUMA Australia Operational Standards and rules of evidenceAdapt training styles to changing operational situations while maintaining consistent work methods across the siteInitiate full training, training supervision, Recognised Prior Learnings (RPL) and site licences as directedAct as a mentor for site Training Coordinators, Site Training Specialists and Crew Trainer / Assessors across the BUMA Australia operations as requiredExperience:5 years' operational experience in an Open Cut Mining environment operating with competency on Haul Truck, Dozer Operations (Floor Dozer, Tip/Dump Dozer, Bulk Push) and/or Grader and Excavator5 years' experience as a Trainer Assessor in an Open Cut Mining EnvironmentEducation & Qualifications:Formal Training Qualification of current Cert IV Trainer Assessor as a minimumRIIRIS402 (G2)Training Transcript from an Open Cut Mine (minimum) with RII competencies (preferred) for:Excavator Competency (600t minimum); RIIMPO301 - Conduct Hydraulic Excavator OperationsDozer Competency: RIIMPO308 Conduct Tracked Dozer OperationsMechanical (minimum) and Electric Drive Haul Truck Competency: RIIMPO338 Conduct Rigid Haul Truck OperationsSkills & Knowledge:Knowledge of Training and Assessment techniques and strategiesWorking knowledge of the Nationally Recognised Core Competency PackagingWell developed written and oral communication skillsMicrosoft Office suite, 365 and Learning Management System Software (SAP, MYOSH etc) working knowledgeKnowledge of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 (Qld) including all relevant regulations, guidelines and Australian standards and their application in an operational environmentTo be considered for this opportunity please click "Apply Now" to submit your application!All final applicants for this position will be asked to consent to a police check.
