Join our team as a Professional Indemnity (P.I.)
Underwriter in a flexible, hybrid role, where you'll be at the forefront of specialized underwriting in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Candidate Experience Required: Underwriting Expertise: Minimum of 3+ years in Professional Indemnity (P.I.)
underwriting or similar fields within insurance.Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of P.I.
policy forms, endorsements, and risk assessment.Analytical Skills: Strong skills in evaluating financial statements, client risk profiles, and loss history.Client Relations: Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.Decision-Making Ability: Ability to make risk-informed decisions and manage referral processes confidently.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills for clear, persuasive client interactions.Job Responsibilities: Risk Assessment: Evaluate and analyze new and renewal P.I.
submissions, assess exposures, and determine pricing and coverage terms.Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse book of P.I.
business within established authority limits, ensuring profitability and compliance.Broker Relationships: Work closely with brokers to understand client needs, negotiate terms, and develop tailored solutions.Claims and Endorsement Support: Collaborate with the claims team on P.I.
matters, advise on coverage, and assist with policy endorsements.Market Insight: Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies.Continuous Improvement: Participate in underwriting training, contribute to process improvements, and support junior staff development when needed.This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and strategic professional looking to deepen their expertise in Professional Indemnity underwriting while contributing to a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
