About the Role The Professional Advisor works with colleagues in the Professional Advisory Service to provide accurate and comprehensive telephone and email advice to APS members in response to a broad range of professional and practice issues, including, but not limited to:
Ethical dilemmasComplex client issues (not supervision)Practice management concernsLegislative matters, e.g., privacy legislation, mandatory reportingRegulatory matters, including requirements of third parties, such as MedicareEnquiries from other professionals relating to psychology ethics and services.The Professional Advisor contributes to the development of professional practice information, resources, and other documents relevant to the practice of psychology. The Professional Advisor will maintain awareness and currency of issues and developments relevant to psychology and the APS.
We work in a hybrid model. Most team members currently work from home, with the option to work in our Melbourne CBD office when it suits them, or as the business requires (i.e., for large planning meetings). This position is part-time at 0.6FTE (3 days a week).
