Production Supervisors (Barramundi Farms) - Three positions (Innisfail and Port Douglas)About the Company: Our client is a leading producer of sustainably farmed, delicious, and nutritious barramundi, serving Far North Queensland.
With three large aquaculture facilities located in Innisfail (2) and Port Douglas, they are dedicated to maintaining high standards of quality and sustainability in their fish farming operations.
About the Role: We are seeking three Production Supervisors to join the team, with two based at their Innisfail locations and the other at their Port Douglas facility.
As a Production Supervisor, you will lead and manage a small team of farm technicians, ensuring that daily production and dispatch operations run smoothly and efficiently.
This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee the farming of barramundi from the production phase through to distribution.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage daily operations of the production team, ensuring high-quality outputs.
Supervise plant machinery and farm operations, ensuring all systems run efficiently.
Assist in commissioning new farm assets and ensuring their optimal operation.
Monitor and manage water quality and environmental conditions.
Plan and execute fish grading processes.
Prepare production reports and forecasts to support financial analysis and decision-making.
Review and analyze production performance, implementing improvements where necessary.
Ensure optimal allocation of equipment and resources.
Essential Criteria: Extensive operational experience in an aquaculture environment.
Proven ability to manage plant machinery and oversee aquaculture production processes.
Experience in commissioning and maintaining farm assets.
Strong understanding of water management, environmental monitoring, and fish farming techniques.
Background in marine biology - (aquaculture qualifications desireable but not essential)
Familiarity with fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sales and marketing.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team of farm technicians.
Location: Innisfail and Port Douglas, Far North Queensland
