We at Workforce Extensions are currently supporting the team at Geelong Galvanizing by seeking a stable, driven, and team-oriented Production Supervisor to join their team.
About the Role: As Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of Geelong Galvanizing's Sand Blast and Paint department production facilities.
The key to your success will be ensuring that projects are delivered to the appropriate specification, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while adhering to safety standards and company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of production & operational staff, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to safety protocols.Develop and monitor production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of projects, including planning and scheduling daily production & operational activities to meet project timelines and targets.Implement and conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications, company standards, and customers' expectations.Train, educate, and manage production personnel - Provide/organise training, guidance, and support to all team members to enhance their skills and performance.Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.Liaise directly with customers to advise of project updates, deliveries, and schedules.Provide regular reports on key production metrics, including performance, quality, and downtime.About You: To be considered, we are seeking candidates with the following skills, experience, and attributes: Previous experience within an engineering/manufacturing/industrial environment.Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.Ability to read drawings along with strong technical knowledge of production processes, materials, and equipment.Excellent leadership and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.A commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to risk management, and strong understanding of Workplace OH&S Requirements.Forklift license and familiarity with machinery operation (Preferred but not essential).What's On Offer: The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to put their own mark on a role that will offer growth potential along with job stability.
